Miles and Jonah take turns climbing to remove the remainder of a damaged stem from a Monterey cypress tree. We responded to an emergency call at the beginning of the week to take off the hung up, broken top and returned two days later to remove the rest of the stem at the homeowners request. The damage was determined to have weakened the stem severely and the wound from the broken top was too substantial to be sealed over by the tree’s tissue regeneration. We made the call to remove the stem.
We removed a large oak tree to create a fire break for our client on the border of his property. The tree had a weak union due to a defect called bark inclusion that causes a weak connection at the fork of the tree. We the processed the whole tree into firewood and staged it on the client’s trail.
